Dear tlr just a thought, but i wonder if any other millwall fans have noticed how barry fry bears a striking resemblance to 'cockney wanker' from viz comic. they are both fat, annoying little shits, and have an attitude problem. barry fry thinks he is something big, just like cw, and has a terrible emphasised cockney accent, just like cw. i wonder if they are the same person. the only difference seems to be the 'bins'. i'm willing to bet my entire life savings that as soon as cw leaves the house of viz in newcastle, he makes his way down the m1 to st. andrews. they are just too similar to tell apart, and i'm sure other fans will agree - they are both a pair of w * kers. kev newman plumstead, se18 dear tlr having read the letters of mr thomas wheeler and mr robert molloy, together with tlr's comments on a tour of the usa in tlr 68, the perfect 'mascot' came to mind. millwall fc has legitimate claim to scottish ancestry, a fact we have always proudly acknowledged since our conception way back in the last century. like the scots, we have a history of being a proud people, never shy to do battle against the odds when the honour of the clan was at stake, because of our history. i believe we have very good reason to consolidate our patriotic fervour towards the blue flag of scotland with the registration of our very own clan tartan. to involve the community a competition could be held, including school's within the area, to design a distinctive tartan, which could then be registered. the winner would receive a suitable prize and perhaps a holiday in scotland let's get in touch with the scottish tourist board! ; . this tartan could then be incorporated in our playing strips and the band's kilts. you look back in any theatre of war in british history, and the primary musical instrument used to stir men into battle and at the same time scare the living crap out of the enemy ; were the bag-pipes - and that includes the falklands and gulf wars'. the reverse, when required, can also be true. an everlasting memory of the gulf war victory celebrations in the united states were the marching bands' of the scottish regi. O b. it possibly one of the most moving, wonderful, descriptive books i have ever read. in this story, the main character, heidi, is living with her mentally disabled mother and her neighbor, bernadette. heidi is used to living in a, well, dierent household, and has lived that way all her life. her mother only knows twenty-three words, which they keep a list of in the cabinet. but when heidi's mother starts saying a word that bernie and heidi don't know, heidi wants to learn about her mother's past. something about this book that intrigues me so much is that sarah weeks has the ability to make all her characters incredibly real. nobody is all good or all bad. they have lives, and, if they do appear mean, there is always a reason. while digging into her mother's past, heidi encounters many interesting characters, all of whom are very dierent. there's georgia sweet, the clever, pretty, body-language expert, alice, who can talk and talk and talk without the other person getting a word in edgewise, who tricks heidi into lying continuously, and strange, vague mr. hill. this story has little details that many people would overlook. in this book heidi mentions dinosaur skin, and how nobody really knew what color it was. heidi was reflecting on what she had and craps guide.
This year's questions in the ciu national quiz are again being set by tony gold from newbottle wmc near sunderland, who has been described as the country's most inventive question setter. "i try to get away from the kind of questions only quiz players know about and ask things people can work out. a good question should tell you something interesting but not be impossible to answer, " says tony. "it's nice to get an answer right if you know it but the real pleasure in a quiz is when one or two of you in a team can use a bit of logic to wheedle out an answer." try some of these from previous years and see if you can wheedle out the answers. if you can't they're printed on the opposite page and craps guide. roulette tableQueen-8 is not a strong starting hand. i know what you're thinking i used to think it, too the queen has a picture on it, and that 8 can make a straight! don't fool yourself. if the queen hits, you're welcome to bet. but when your opponent calls or raises ; you're left wondering if you're outkicked. you are because most people don't play crap hands like you do. ; a more likely scenario is that the board will come up something like k-8-4, and you end up leaking away chips hoping your second pair will hold up or turn into trips before either showing down a loser or finally conceding that your opponent has you beat and mucking the hand and how to win at craps.
